Looking for purple/lavender colored punch for wedding?
Any good recipes? No alcohol.
Looking for purple/lavender colored punch for wedding?
I would think you could do something with grape juice and sprite, gingerale, or 7up. When doing punch, you need something fizzy and at least one type of juice. My suggestion would be to get some grape juice (or another kind of juice with a purple tint) and different ratios of soda until you get to a desired color and flavor. You could also add sherbet if you want a frothy punch. Raspberry is a pinky purple color. Here are a few recipes...
PURPLE PUNCH
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, diluted to 3 c.
1 bottle (1 pt., 8 oz.) Welch's unsweetened grape juice
1 pkg. grape gelatin
2 c. hot water
1 qt. ginger ale
Mix fruit juices. Chill. Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add a few ice cubes to cool quickly. Add fruit juices and mix. Just before serving, add ginger ale and ice cubes.
PURPLE PUNCH
2 c. cold grape juice
1 qt. cold orange juice
2 qts. cold ginger ale
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
Ice cubes
Put ice cubes in a large bowl. Add the grape juice, orange juice and ginger ale. Mix well. Float orange slices in the bowl. Serve.
PURPLE PUNCH
4 pkg. grape Kool-Aid
2 c. sugar
1 qt. water
2 (1 qt.) bottles ginger ale, chilled
1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice, chilled
1 pt. raspberry sherbet
Mix Kool-Aid, sugar, and water. Chill. Add pineapple juice. Stir in sherbet and ginger ale shortly before serving. Serves about 40.
Reply:well i know to make regular punch, you take fruit punch and mix it with sprite.
i think the same people who make hawiian punch, make it in grape, so if you took that stuff and mixed it with sprite,it could work out just fine,
i think its worth a try
Reply:2 large frozen cans grape juice (Make sure to get concord grape juice, not white grape juice)
1 can (prepared) Hawaiin Punch
3 qts water
1 cup sugar
2 litre's 7 Up
Dissolve sugar in water before adding to punch mix.
Reply:skittles=2liter mountain dew pint of vodka grape kool-aid mix get cold serve on ice its great!!!!!!!!!!!1

Has anyone heard anything about not using lavender scented body wash and lotions on baby boys and toddlers?
I use the johnson and johnson lavender bath and lotion on my 10 month old and there is nothing wrong with him. I believe there would be some kind of warning on the label if this was bad. I also don't believe the product would be on the market if this was the case.
Has anyone heard anything about not using lavender scented body wash and lotions on baby boys and toddlers?
i heard something about it affecting the males reproductive organs, growing breasts etc... i stopped using it just in case.
Reply:i hope not!!!!!
i always use it on both my babys, every night and there both boys!
grow boobs?? you got to be kidding??
if thats what it does, im gonna buy loads and bath in it every night and smother my self with the lotion!
as my boobs defo need a boot in growth, they drooping like im 70 and im in my twentys!!
lol
Reply:I know that you aren't supposed to use it if your child has asthma, but not on boys. That seems a bit silly to me.
Reply:There was a hoax about them containing carcinogens a while back, but they are safe.
Just watch for allergic reactions, like rashes.
Reply:No, why not?
Reply:as long as it agrees with the babies skin... i would say wait until the baby is at least 3 months.. I couldnt use it on my nephew cuz he had scentive skin.. so just keep an our on the baby's skin afterward =) good luck!
Reply:Nope. I can't see where the issue is other than ti being more of a "girly" smell. I think johnsons and johnsons has a soothing night time lavender bath.
Reply:YES!
We absolutely do not use lavender scented washes or lotions. It's not that they are carcinogens, it's that the lavender and tea tree oils mimic estrogen and can cause boys to grow breasts. I check the labels and make sure that real lavender oils aren't used. I have two boys and I'm careful about it.
ETA: I love that I'm getting thumbs down--this isn't my *opinion*, it's a fact, read the links, the information is from The National Institutes of Health, part of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Reply:no never, the johnsons baby cream for bedtime has lavender in it and so does the shampoo it doesnt say anything on it about not putting it on boys
Reply:That is only if it contains real lavender oil.
Reply:Yes, something about them growing boobs!! I have a boy and I stopped but it would probably have to contain real lavendar oil.

Does lavender oil really help reduce the appearance of scars?
Vitamin E oil is great for that. A friend was in a car accident and he used it on his face for a year and it really worked.

Avon has a wonderful cream my girlfriend used for her stretch marks from gaining alot of weight and then losing it. I was really surprised it worked so well. You can also try vitamin E capsules. Prick it with a pin and use the oil on the scar.
Reply:Nooooooooo
Reply:The best thing, to make scars less visible, is Coco butter.
Reply:i think kipper is right about the coco butter or try some Maderma.
Reply:i stick with the cocobutter. i dont know about anything else

Where do they sell lavender oil?
I read in an article that it makes your boobs grow. I'm 15 and I'm a 32 or 34A. And a lot of the girls in my grade have big boobs and I'm sick of mine being small. Some of them complain about it. I don't see why. If I had big boobs I wouldn't worry gave to about having a butt. I'd be happy as heck if I had boobs. And my b/f used to talk about how good these girls with big boobs look. I know he still does even though he doesn't say it around me anymore 'cause I told him that it ticks me off. And I'm sick of seeing girls with big boobs and wishing I had some like that.

Unless you want to grow up to be a porn star, your breast size really doesn't matter. Dump that little immature weasel.
Reply:Try a health food store.
Reply:Lavender oil WILL NOT make your boobs grow. Other than getting implants, they will only grow based on your genetic makeup. You are only 15, give it time. I was the same at your age but around 19 y.o. they became 38D. Just have patience. Besides, all of those girls with big boobs will sag eventually.
On the lavender oil note, you can get it in any natural food store (Whole Foods, etc.), but instead of using it on your boobs (which won't work), put it in an aromatherapy diffuser. It's great for stress ;)

Does anyone know how I can make my own lavender perfume? I hear it can be done using alcohol and the flowers.?
4) Flower aroma perfumes
You will need:
* 2 cup of water
* 1 cup fresh chopped flower blossoms
Directions:
Place a cheesecloth in a bowl, where the edges are hanging over. Fill with 1 cup of flower blossoms of your choice. Pour water over the flowers until they are completely covered. Cover and let sit overnight. By using the edges of cheesecloth pull it out of the bowl and gently squeeze the scented water into a small pot. Cool and place it in a small bottle. You can use these perfumes only for a month.

Having lived in WA state for awhile, With access to Sequim, and having been involved with lavendar as a notion for farming, and NOT being a woman, nor needing the scent for my own personal use,,,I do know of it's multitude of properties and uses. Food products being one of the lesser recognized.
I want to ask however, why consider it as a perfume?
I'd suggest, though it seems a bit intensive to attempt making your own,,,Essential Oils, already infused with Lavendar.
Not at all knowing where you are,,,or your access to the flower, I wonder what your notion is.
Alchohol, not only evaporates rapidly, but doesn't diffuse or retain the SCENT as well as oils do.
Also without knowing if you have a lavendar farming situation going on; To create enough lavendar oils from the blossoms; to make it worth your effort and expense; could take ACRES of plants.
