Are Sweet Williams lavender?

My Rondeau muse where?

A rondeau I penned, was yesterday

GrannyJill my sweet muse, caused

and now I wait and wait some more

for her response, surely scholarly

But wait, I find her now, posting words

plucking flowers in her garden verse

so much for rondeaus....at least I know

that Sweet Williams are lavender

Are Sweet Williams lavender?
Believe I'm going to send you both to The Garden School of Hard Clay. Sigh. But the fact that your eyes don't focus this early does not make the poem unacceptable! Rose coloured specs are needed. Sweet William is a Dianthus barbatus. White, pink, rose, red and purple...like. They look and smell like a Carnation, and if my eyes were also functioning I'd read further. Actually, they are Carnations. They are appealing border favorites.

(Border works here, only 100 miles away.) And I'm not penning more until someone sends coffee.
Reply:You'll get me shot, I said Sweet William were lavender COLOURED meaning sort of light purple.

Can I let you into a secret?- I know nothing about flowers - I had to look up what they were when I began the poem to ensure that Sweet Williams weren't 9 ft tall and Hollyhocks weren't little ground covering blossoms!

I am going to ensure I don't keep you waiting in future as I now have you in my contacts.

Your work is getting more and more like mine everyday.......wooow......be careful I may be a body-snatcher (not chatting, honest)
Reply:I was waiting for your muse to show up before i could actually respond too. I know nothing bout sweet williams, but lavender is indeed my all time favourite scent and colour! =)
