Does lavender oil go bad?

if ive had 100 percent pure lavender oil for a very long time (since 98 maybe haha) is it still good to use?

oils can go rancid. What are you using it for? If it is for a oil burning pot you can still use it, if it smells weird it is probabvly bad.
Reply:I don't think it would go bad...try smelling it. If it smells different from what it used to, you shouldn't use it.
Reply:no lavendar oil does not go bad it stays purified all the time
Reply:all organic oils can get rancid. you may not be able to tell by smell.

its in my shampoo and hasn't gone bad yet
