Lavender wedding dress?

I'm getting married in June and I want to know where I can buy a lavender wedding dress. Any suggestions?

I picked a design and had the dressmaker make it for me in light baby blue.
Reply:My best friend's daughter got married last August in a lavender gown, and it was lovely! She found hers on eBay, but you could also look at the wedding dress shops for a bridesmaid dress, or department stores at the prom gowns.



Don't let anyone discourage you from the dress you want...It will be lovely!

Reply:I'm open to a bride wearing a different color other then white or off white. I think it is a neat idea and sounds lovely!



I doubt you will find one already made, you will need to find a pattern and someone to make it.
Reply:Go to the fabric shop, find an elegant fabric color lavender and go to the dress maker. You have enough time and your selection will be much more great
Reply:you could try a prom dress. some of them look like wedding dresses and are couloured. you can find really pretty purple ones.

You might try some wedding magazines that are printed in the UK-- you can get them at bookstores. I find that they show more colorful wedding gowns than US magazines do.



You might also try to buy a more ornate bridesmaid's gown, offered in lavender. BM gowns that are more of a ballgown style would work perfectly as a wedding gown. No one knows what rack you bought it off of, when you're wearing it. It will also save you a ton of money.
Reply:Probably the best bet would be to find a good dressmaker and get one made. That way you get the design you want and the colour.

Your basically looking for a lavendar dress so I don't know what makes it a wedding dress versus just a regular dress.
