New lavender seed help?

im growing lavender from seeds indoors,in the little starter container, but one guide told me to put the sowed seeds in the fridge for two weeks ,and others r saying they need lots of sunlight to germinate(put them in the sun) what am i supposed to do. also how often should i water them

Some seeds need to be placed somewhere cold to let them think they have had winter. Try it for a couple of weeks then put them on a sunny window sill making sure you only keep the compost moist, not soaking wet. If all else fails and they don't germinate young plants are fairly cheap.

Reply:I put my lavender seeds in the fridge for 2 weeks before I planted them. Maybe you were supposed to do that?
