Strawberry, blueberry & lavender candles, what's the best wat to use them in witchcraft? thanks?

I'm trying to find a list of colors with properties and the best way to use them with magick. Please answer ONLY those who have knowledge in witchcraft many blessings. Strawberry, blueberry and Lavender are some of the candles I have with me at this moment and I would like to find a productive way to use them with magic and not just to light them up like any other candle. Thanks

Strawberry, blueberry %26amp; lavender candles, what's the best wat to use them in witchcraft? thanks?
You are kidding I hope. You can use 1,000 different correspondences if you choose but it still won't manifest if you don't know how to make it happen.
Reply:Any book on witchcraft or Wicca for beginners would have a list of correspondances.

And if you haven't even read one of those, what makes you think you're going to be able to anything with the candles just by knowing what colors are related to what type of energy?

Please, if you can't be bothered to do a little research, then there's no hope for you regardless of how many candles you use.
Reply:In an effort to answer your question directly: Liber 777 is a

book of tables of correspondences and is a basic reference

text for Ceremony.

But as others are impliying (and a few are being a bit more

direct) you will need a bit more.

Personally, I would recommend against the scented candles

that are more conveniently available. You will want unscented

candles that you can oil yourself with the oils listed in Liber 777

as you need them.

You might try AzureGreen (link below) if you can't get a local

candleshop or occult shop to supply you with unscented candles

of the colors you want.

Another alternative would be to locate an occult/metaphysical

supply shop (with a little work) by consulting your

hardcopy Yellow Pages for the closest major metropolitian area.

They would probably be under "new age", "metaphysical",

"occult", etc. Many stores like this (but not all) will have some

sort of 'bulletin board' area set up with newsletters of local

Covens, Occult Societies, etc. If there is none (bulletin board)

then you may want to inqure of the store's staff. They may know

of someone.

A final alternative is to go to http://www.witchvox.com/

and use the "drop down" menu up in the upper left corner.

Select the state or province and then go thorugh the links

provided until you find those closest to you.

Good luck.
Reply:I have to agree with tawaen - color correspondences are a pretty basic "beginners" item to find in Witchcraft books. If you don't have the basic foundation of how and why magic works, or where to find such basic resources, then no candle will help you complete a spell effectively.

But I'll give you the benefit of doubt here and say, perhaps you don't have your reference books handy (well, you obviously have the internet which is just as good, you could google this kinda stuff - there are sites out there that have an "online" book of shadows for reference material like this.)

Or...you could use some plain ol' common sense.

What colors do you see plastered all over around Valentines Day? Red %26amp; Pink right? Pink being a softer color would associate more with romance, intimacy, friendship, etc. where Red being bolder would be associated with love and passion. Makes sense right?

Or you could always correspond your color workings toward the chakras - blue is the throat chakra so magic involving communication could include a blue candle.

(these aren't the only properties these colors could be used for, I'm just trying to get your own wheels turning to think about it yourself.)

Since you are saying these are scented candles as well, I would then look up aromatherapy and see which scents are best for what.

Blessings.
Reply:In all honesty, for a ritual to succeed you need purpose, will focus, intent and the ability to raise power. If you can do these things it doesn't matter if you use a white birthday candle, you can get results.

Using color correspondences for example you might use pink for unconditional love or red for romantic love, choose favorable timing using a full moon, using the hour ruled by venus and performing the ritual on a Friday to honor the Goddess of Love would all work well and then having the scent of roses, orris root, cinnamon, pinch of dragon's blood and oranges mixed into an incense or rolled into a bees wax candle. Maybe you would place a 2 rose quartz crystals together in front of the candle or a male and female lodestone and after the ritual place them in a red flannel bag to keep on you.

With this example you could do the same thing with a white candle by dressing it with a love oil, or you could use a half green half red candle and use the same items.

With strawberry candle I think of a spell for friendship.

With a blueberry candle a spell for happiness.

With a lavender candle a spell for peace or because of the color you could use the candle to peacefully meditate cleansing your aura and opening your third eye gently.

I hope this helps you. If you are a begginner a happiness spell for your home and/or a friendship spell when inviting people over for a party or going into a new environment at work or school.

I hope this helps you. Don't feel bad about the other posts, everyone has to start learning at some point. We are lucky we can reach out to eachother through the internet. When I began practicing it was just me making homemade incense with spices from my kitchen making spell and herb candles from craft store wax. I thought I was the only witch in the world. I am glad I was wrong. Blessed be little one!
