Planting lavender?

i am wanting to plant lavender in my garden do i have to treat the soil as i live in scotland and the soil is really wet any advice

Planting lavender?
Lavender has a tendency to go woody if not treated correctly, I planted mine into a good peat compost still in the pot for 2 weeks to allow it to acclimatise to the soil then I took it from the pot and planted it directly, make sure you allow alot of room for roots and preferably in a sunny position, lots of water and feed with miracle grow for the growing period
Reply:Lavender comes from the Mediterranean so likes dry and hot conditions. I suggest you plant it in a pot against a sunny wall. Sorry not the answer you hoped for.
