As soon as the machine quits i go to put them into the dryer and they already seem to have an odor to them. I use Gain liquid and downy lavender softner. We thought that maybe it was the water but we just recently moved to another town and we are still having the same problem.
How do I get the spoiled smell out of my laundry?
Add one cup of ammonia to your regular detergent in all of your loads until you find the smell is gone from everything.
Reply:Then it must be your washer. Try running a short cycle, no clothes, no soap, but put in plenty of bleach. It sounds like you might have some mold in your washer somewhere. Hope this helps. At least it's fast and cheap to try!
