They are having their 5th Annual Lavender days in June, and I wondering if it's worth the gas. It's way down around escondido.

Anyone ever been to the Lavender Fields in Valley Center, CA?
i was beautiful. I took a picnic and enjoyed the fragrance. It was beautiful. But valley center? hum!

Reply:Went there one year when visiting the Ramona/Julian area. It was OK, not one of my favorite festivals, which seem to revolve around food for some reason: (Strawberry Festival- Oxnard in May, Corn Festival- La Habra in July, Avocado Festival- Carpinteria in October, Garlic Festival- Gilroy). It must be the food. I guess I'm not that much into lavender. It's beautiful country, though.
