red and blue make purple, to make it lavender you would have to add enough white until you got the shade you wanted
Reply:You'd be far, far better off to buy ready-mixed purple paint at the hardware store or paint store. Mixing paint colours should be left to professionals. For one thing, it'll be easier to match it if you need to repaint a wall or if you want to paint something else later. For another, mixing old paint is a really bad idea; you'll get a clotted mess.
