How can i design my room to look cool?

My room is lavender and i'm 13 ahh so next summer i can repaint my room but until then i want to have friends over without being embarresed any ideas on how to add things to make it exciting and fun even though i have a small room. REMEMBER; that i only have a Pharm in my town so buying things is limited but i have a big house so i could probably find stuff. Also i love cirlcles and rainbow schemes! help please thanx!

How can i design my room to look cool?
if u like circles then y not paint 1 wall w/ circles of different sizes. Use a string, pencil %26amp; tack. Place the tack at the end of the string at how lg. u want the circle then pull the string out the length w/ pencil on end(string tied around pencil) %26amp; draw a circle. U can adjust the string to make diff. size circles. then use acrylic paints that come in those 2oz bottles to add 1 or 2 colors more to u'r room.

U can also add those to cushions or pillows. Take old pillow cases in lt color or lavender %26amp; u need a fabric medium mixed w/ the color %26amp; paint the pillows then throw in dryer to heat set.

So what other things do u like? Can u invest in some blank cd/s? u can hang them diff. lengths in front of u'r windows so when the light hits them they throw a neat design around the room or u can paint them the different colors that u use for a mobile. U could even put pegs on u'r wall %26amp; put the cds painted around them to hang clothes on. U can use dowel sticks for the pegs %26amp; find scrap wood to drill %26amp; glue the pegs in after u put the cds around them lst.

go to thrift stores/garage sales/swap meets Big Lots %26amp; c if u can find some creative things that u can either hang.. display... u can find a lamp %26amp; re-paint it funky plus paint the shade or cut out circles in them %26amp; put celeophane over the cut outs or tissue.

B creative... look at things a bit differently %26amp; think what u can do w/ it. Crates on the wall for shelves or on the floor. things like that.

have fun
Reply:FIND AN OLD LARGE VASE AND PUT IN SOME DRIED FLOWERS IN ONE CORNER

FIND AN OLD TABLE RUNNER(SMALL LONG CLOTH) AND PUT IT ON YOUR DRESSER.

iF THERE ARE ANY OLD PILLOWS(COLOURED) LAYING AROUND THAT AREN'T BEING USED, PUFF THEM UP AND PUT THE IN AN ARRANGEMENT AT THE HEAD OF YOUR BED.

iF THERE IS AN OLD LONG MIRROR, MOUNT IT ON THE WALL ABOVE THE HEADBOARD OF YOUR BED. IT WILL CAUSE A REFLECTION AND MAKE THE ROOM LOOK BIGGER.

IT THERE IS A SMALL ROUND TABLE AND A SMALL BISTRO TYPE CHAIR OR EVEN AN OLD WOODEN PAINTED ONE, PUT THEM TOGETHER IN A CORNER. PUT A SMALL CLOTH THAT FITS OVER THE SIDE AND PUT A SMALL BOWL OF DRIED FLOWERS OR A COUPLE OF OLD BOOKS TIED TOGETHER WITH A BELT AND PLACE IN THE CENTRE OF THE TABLE OR IF THERE IS ONLY A CHAIR, ON THE SEAT OF THE CHAIR...

IF YOU HAVE A SCATTTER MAT, PUT ONE AT THE SIDE OF YOUR BED...

IF YOU HAVE A CEDAR CHEST, PUT IT AT THE END OF YOUR BED, PUT A NICE THROW OR BLANKET ON IT AND PUT A LACE TABLECLOTH OVER IT... PLACE AN OLD FAVOURITE DOLL OR IT.

CHANGE THE LAMP SHADE ON YOUR LAMP BY YOUR BED IF THERE IS AN EXTRA ONE FLOATING AROUND.

IF THERE IS AN OLD UMBRELLA STAND AROUND PLACE IT IN A CORNER AND PUT DRIED TALL GRASSES IT IT...YOU CAN SPRAY PAINT THEM A DIFFERENT COLOUR...

CHANGE THE SHADE ON YOUR OVERHEAD LIGHT TO SOMETHING SOFTER OR CHANGE THE BULB SO IT IS NOT SO BRIGHT....
Reply:Stencils are you answer. Find stencils at a craft store along with stencil paints. Use your imagination and a stencil brush and you can paint a ton of stuff on your walls. Flowers, butterflies,.....basically anything that a stencil is for. Don't be afraid to mix colors shake things up a bit. If you make a mistake and the room looks horrid.....the worst that can happen is that you need to repaint your room.
Reply:make your room look like a barn. Put fencing along the bottom, and paint the walls into a mural of your property.

This should give you some ideas.
Reply:If you like recycling things, you could make some spiffy shelves with a few straight boards and a couple pairs of bricks, the kind with the two pockets in them. Depending on the size of your room and the boards, you can either use 2 bricks a layer or 3.

A great place to find ideas is the Family Fun magazine. Check it out, you'll find all kinds of things you can use.
