How do I help my 10 week old like bath time?

I've tried the baby bath, sink, and bath tub. I've tried the lavender bath, warmed up water - she screams bloody murder every time.

How do I help my 10 week old like bath time?
Fill up the sink with warm water- but not too high. Put your babe in clothes that zip or snap and are easy to remove with little effort so you don't have to pull wet clothes off over her head. Put her in the warm water dressed. Let her splash around for a lil' bit and try to wash her face and hair.
Reply:Don't run the water within her hearing. Also, could be that the water is too cold for her. Warm it up a litte. Mine like me (or daddy) getting in the tub with them. You can try that too.
Reply:Have you gone in the tub _with_ her?

Works a treat, here -- every bath is a bath with Mum or a shower with Daddy, and a bath's a pleasure all around.
Reply:try not filling the tub up so high with water, my son is 8 weeks old and he does'nt cry, good luck she will get used to it
Reply:I used to put on my bathing suit and take my son into the bath with me with just a little water. it was easier to hold him.....
Reply:talk to her thw whole time

in a nice calming voice put a couple toys in the tub

shake a rattle for a few seconds

rub her back a little
Reply:My daughter also screamed throughout her baths until a friend helped us out. We used a bath seat instead of the bathtub until she outgrew the bath seat. Make sure the water is warm enough and covers her up to her belly button. Also make sure the bathroom isn't too cold. Her being warm made all the difference in the world and now she loves baths!
Reply:When you bathe her make sure she doesn't need a nap or need to eat. My kids always loved that lavendar bath stuff. Make sure the water is warm enough and that there is enought to cover her to keep her from getting cold. Does she take a pacifier? My kids loved to have their pacifier in their mouth during bathtime when they were tiny babies. Make sure you don't wash her hair until the end so her little head isn't staying cold while you wash the rest of her.

You could also try bathing her every single day and at or near the same time when you do it. She will get used to the bath quicker if she gets into a routine and knows it is coming.

Good luck!
Reply:Have you tried getting in the tub with her? Does she have toys or something to look at to keep her interest? Do you keep from running the water when she's right there? Maybe the noise from the water running is scaring her?
Reply:my daughter hated bathes so i showered her!!

i kept her head out of the water for the first few times then she loved it.

i also just gave her a sponge bath. just have a tub with warm water with the lavender or something init and just use a face washer (flannel) to wash her. have a warm room and a nice towel for her after you have finished.

hope its helpful.
Reply:My daughter also didn't like to bathe too much. Now I don't get her head wet until the very end of the bath. I also make sure that I hold her very tight so she doesn't slide around on her own and I make sure that her legs and torso are covered with water so she doesn't feel cold. Now my daughter is actually enjoying her bath and is smiling and laughing while in the tub.

When I was a baby I hated baths because my dad once by mistake turned on the hot water faucet while bathing me. I didn't get any burns from it but it was enough to make me hate baths temporarly. But that passed and I recall loving to bathe when I was a bit older.
