What color of frames and shelves should I put in the baby's room?

Wall color is light lavender, with off-white Wayne's coating. Floors are dark brown hardwood. I can't decide if pictures and shelves should be black or dark brown. Can I get your opinion please? Thanks!

Brown. Even a dark green would be nice.
Reply:Reality is ,,,,, that you should not worry that much about decorating room for the baby as you are decorating for YOU

You should concentrate on maybe making something that will appeal to toddler age as they will use the room then not as an infant ,,,,

as they'll be in your room the majority of the time
Reply:I would recommend either going with a stark white (which would probably show dirt pretty quickly) or a much darker hue of the wall color (probably 4 or 5 shades darker).
Reply:I am no expert, but I would go with pastel color frames to give the lavender walls color, which would draw away from the wooden floors. The pastel colors gives it a warm feeling and compliments either sex of the baby. Then I would get a neutral looking rug for the floor. Hope this helps=)
Reply:I'd use white for the shelves and either white or the dark brown of the floor for the picture frames.
Reply:I think that as a good motivation for your baby maybe you should put bright colours as the shelves to help to brighten up the room, but if you wish to make the shelves match with the rest of the room then I suggest using the black or dark brown shelves you mentioned, above.

Hope this helps, Rohan

It might help, my cousin used this when she had her first baby, she had the same idea as you but she went with yellow shelves.
