BIG BIRD

OR THE RAIN FOREST!

OR ASTRONOMY!

:p
Reply:That's a good color for a little girl's room! In my little brother's room, we did light blue with white feather brushing on the bottom half of the walls. White sounds cute with lavender too. You can get a duster (just like you would for dusting your home) lightly dip the ends in the paint, and dab it lightly on the wall. Other cute colors that will be cute with lavender:

baby pink

baby blue

dark purple

very light pink

pearl (its a whiteish color with a pearlish gleam)

yellow

They have some very cute wall stickers that you can buy from just about any store that has paint. They are usually cartoon characters, and they are made to go with certain shade of wall.

Just some ideas! Hope these helped. Have fun! :)
Reply:you could get a canopy for her bed.. and maybe do a princess theme.. get her a little vanity with some childs make up.. maybe get her some princess costumes and dolls (you can get like life sized[ish] ones) and you could get a boarder with like crowns and stuff on it. possible colours to go with it are obviously pink, and some perriwinkle maybe some seafoam green and also some buttercup yellow.
Reply:my lil sister has just turned 3 tuesday. we painted her room and did her theme in dora. her room is pink. she loves dora the explorer. so we've went out to like walmart and bought just little old dora stuff likes border, stickers on the wall, bedding and bed, and just everything a bedroom would need to make a bed room. she loves it but there are a lot of themes. as long as she is into it and likes it then it will be okay.
Reply:I have a 3yr old little girl and I just redid her room with lavendar walls. Her bedding I got from Overstock.com - it's hot pink/yw/dark purple/ and turquoise. There are large multi colored flowers panels all over the quilt. It's absolutely darling!!! I have also accented the room with butterflies and dragonflies in those same colors!! It's darling!!!

Reply:Base her room on her favorite shows, things, characters, or just things she likes

Here are some ideas:

Hannah Montana

Disney Princesses

Princess

Flowers

Disney

Hearts

Pink and Purple

Dora

Powerpuff Girls

Paris

Polka Dots

Strips

etc....

I would just sit down and ask her what she likes and ask her what she wants to see in her room.
Reply:flowers.

get some fake ones, get a flower rug, use a picket fence as a head board, get a darker purple watering can (or you can paint it) and maybe even start a garden with her. :)

edit: sorry, everyone did this idea.

They have GREAT ideas !

I can imagine templates of flowers and butterflies printed onto her wall !

That would be adorable, you can also put light, almost see-through drapes along her bed, making it look like a wispy dream :]

good luck!
Reply:The alphabet is adorable with letters on the wall and her name above the bed. You could get her an adorable bookcase and grow her book collection.

Perhaps see if you can't find some old childrens books on ebay and dispay those on high shelving for when she is older!
Reply:I think a flower and lady bug theme would be cute for your 3 year old. Here's a link that could be useful, it has some cute ideas for you.

Reply:A garden theme might be nice. It's easy to find flowered appliques and bedding. Also, you could get cute little stuffed bunnies, squirrels, and birds to decorate with.
Reply:What about a shabby chic style? With whitewashed furniture, pretty architectural pieces, pretty floral accents? A mix of French Country meets English Garden, basically...I love the color lavender, btw!
Reply:Maybe pretty flowers appliqued on pillows in many bright colors: yellow, pink, blue, etc. You could also do bluebirds. You can get stencils at art stores.
Reply:Rainbows - Castles - Unicorns - Enchanted Forests

White Ruffled Curtains and Bedding - Removable Wall Paper Border used at chair railing height (aprox 30" up from floor)
Reply:Maybe you should do a princess garden theme. Use pastel colors and get butterflires and flowers that match and put them in her room.
Reply:Go with a vintage theme, like the kind of kid's room you'd find in a really old house. Beat up white wood furniture. Maybe this will give you some ideas :)
Reply:butterflies, dragonflies, flowers, starfish, bubblegum,
Reply:princess

Reply:Disney princesses or care bears.
Reply:Since you painted it lavender I'm assuming you plan on re-painting when you child is out of the house... so let her decide what she wants to do.
