I've lit up a bunch of incense when I was really anxious, but not to the point of a panic attack (i never seem to think of doing that when I have a panic attack). It did help me calm down some. It's relaxing. With a nice smell it kind of makes you want to breathe more, and breathing helps panic attacks, if it's a slow deep breathing. I'd imagine it'd help some. Best of luck with dealing with your panic attacks. Just remember that if you are sniffing a cloth to be sure to inhale enough oxygen with each breathe.
Reply:Everyone reacts different in a panic attack...I have them all the time, and smells freak me out rather than calm me. The sound of water running helps me...
