It is an italian lavender, seems to be dying in the front yard
Can i transplant lavender?
lavender loves alkaline soil and quick drainage
we moved ours and they did better
planted with limestone gravel under the root ball and limestone as a light mulch
keep mulches away from the trunks
good luck
Reply:I should think so, but try and do it when the weather is cooler and so it won't suffer from heat shock. Before you transplant, try to give it a prune to cut off all the dead bits, this way, less energy will be required, and energy that is used will go to healthier bits. Also try and make sure the spot you plant in is full of nutrients - it might be worth preparing the soil about two weeks in advance with some cow manure and/or compost and make sure there's plenty of moisture in the soil. good luck
Reply:Sure you can, as any lavender. Just dig it up , try to get rootswithout breaking, and you can even split it up, and plant, water, a little fertilizer. and there u go.
