How to use lavender essential oil ?
Don't inhale it whatever you do! Just drink it.
Reply:Don't drink it... Report It
Reply:If you have purchased pure essential oil...you can certainly inhale it. Retailers really need to protect people from themselves and themselves from dumb people. Check with the retailer if they have any guidelines for use. Does the bottle say anything more than "Lavender"? Is there a botanical name? Lavenders are not all alike. I suspect that it would be fine to put a few drops on your pillow. If you want to dilute it for use on the body, start with a 3% solution. You can always increase the %. If you have a diffusor, use only pure undiluted essential oils. If you have a duft lamp, you can put water in the well with the essential oils.
Reply:i have some from a place called wood farm in norfolk, which u put on yor pillow or in the bath. not sure about body shop stuff tho.

dont worry, i know its not useful information.
Reply:I do know you can use lavender oil for flies in Illinos.
Reply:A few drops of oil in a warm bath before bed is a great way to get a good nights sleep. Also, you can put a few drops of the oil on a tissue or cotton ball and just place it near your bed. Just don't put it right up to your nose!
Reply:You can certainly inhale it directly from the bottle. Be careful thought, a little lavender oil is very relaxing, but alot can be stimulating, and that will not help you sleep.

A few drops in the bath is nice (up to six), drops on a cotton ball near your pillow is nice too.

Have you seen the little candle burners, where you put some water in the dish, and add a few drops of oil. The candle heats the water, and the oils goes into the room. That would be nice in your bedroom before going to sleep.

You can dilute it (to say 2-3%) and get a massage (or massage it on yourself) before bed.

Also, some people are going to try to sell you "therapeutic-grade essential oils" run away from them! It's a hack MML company that overcharges for oils and other problems.
Reply:You can put some on a cotton ball and put in your pillowcase.

You can rub your feet with a little.Adding some to a lotion and rubbing your feet with that. Duo benefit.
Reply:I know that "Silky Scents" has essential oils %26amp; organic essential oils, and they have a free recipe section. You'll probably be able to find all the information there. Plus they have the pictures of each plant. You can google their name to find them online.
Reply:Make sure you have purchased 100% pure lavender essential oil. There are many ways to use this to help you sleep/ relax. A few drops on your pillow, in a diffuser, 20 drops in your bath, in a lotion that you can massage on your skin. I recommend rubbing it directly on the soles of your feet, and putting some in a spray bottle with water and spraying it all over your bed. If it is pure lavender, you are safe to use it direct on your skin or to breathe in from a diffuser or bed linens or any of the ideas i have given you. Beware of imitation lavender oil, it can be toxic. I suggest that you dilute 20 drops lavender and 10 drops pure essential oil of roman chamomile oil in an ounce of almond oil, and massage on your temples, abdomen and feet. You will sleep like a new born baby.
