Which is the best lavender for the aromatic and not too tall(not more than 60 cm)?

I believe English Lavender has the best aroma. However, I'm not sure about height. I too plan on growing Lavender this spring. My mother is very big into gardening and her advice is to always cut back so that everything grows in better. So if you have the time to trim here and there, the English Lavender would be a good choice.



*A good tip when doing your spring cleaning would be to take dried lavender (if you decide to grow it), and to sprinkle it onto your carpet before vaccuming. The whole room will smell amazing!!!

Hidcote Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Hidcote) grows to about 60cm max. Nice dark blue, good scent. Be careful about growing from seed though, as individual plants can vary. Plants from cuttings will be more uniform.
