Can you put lavender on a maltese puppies stomach?

Can you put lavender on a maltese puppies stomach?
NO! maltese skin is very sensitive i suggest you potty train!
Reply:No. Dogs are very sensitive. The lavender could cause an allergic reaction, and her nose will definitely burn from the smell.
Reply:WHY?
Reply:HHHAAAA Rebbecca......my husband bought a shock collar to train our dog not to jump the fence. I told him that he better try it on him first. He said ...he doesnt jump fenches lol. So when I figure out the best time to have to scold him on something I am going to put in on him to teach him to stop and see if it works. Like maybe when he drinks out of the milk jug....hmmmm thats a good one.

Just liked your answer and wanted to share!!!
Reply:This is pretty vague. Do you mean to feed it to her, or rub it on her? Either way, she will probably ingest it, as she could lick it off. I would advise against it until you know for sure that it is not toxic to your pet. Some holistic things for people are toxic to animals, or can react with some medications and such. Call your vet to check.
Reply:Bad idea, essential oils are too strong for animals and you need to be very careful. Also you have no idea if you dog will have an allergic reaction. DONT!
Reply:I don't think you should do it just for potty training. It doesn't make sense anyway.
Reply:I also have a maltese and the only thing you want to do is potty train because in the long run the other stuff is just wrong I'm sorry but why would you do that?
Reply:only if you spray it in your own eyes first.
Reply:You CAN....but is it a good idea? No. Why would anyone do it? I have no idea.

ETA: No...what you said makes no sense. I suggest you try POTTY TRAINING. Don't spray down your dog with anything.
Reply:Huh what uhhh huh?????

Nevermind the spelling...

I am sure its ok but, not smart. Why not just potty train the poor thing?

I dont know that I would go spraying things on my dog though. There is always the chance of an allergic reaction.
Reply:no, its bad for the hair.
Reply:NO!! You could kill the poor thing!
