How can I eradicate cuckoo spit on my lavender?

Spit bugs should just be ignored. Their lifespan is so short and they don't do any damage to the plants anyway. Insecticides will harm beneficial insects and the environment, and are a waste of money. The spit bug is immune to insecticides anyway because of it's protective "spit" coating. If they bug you that much, the hose trick works, or just wait, and they'll be gone in no time. You won't have to lift a finger!

How can I eradicate cuckoo spit on my lavender?
i had the same problem today; i used a strong jet of water with the hose ;it seemed to get rid of it for now;i don;t know if it will cure the problem ?just have to wait and see; try that ok/?good luck;;
Reply:The cuckoo spit is hiding a leaf hopper grub. Use the garden hose as advised, but follow it up with an insecticide spray to kill the bug.
Reply:Go with JT's advice this is spot on
