Do you have to planet Lavender in potting soil like you would with flowers? Or can you just use dirt?

I would probably use potting soil. I've always found that yard dirt never had enough nutrients for the plants. You could try peat moss with the dirt. My mom always used to combine top soil and peat moss. I like the potting soil- a lot easier.

If you mean in a pot, than use potting mix, but if it is in the ground just use the dirt.
