Citronella I wouldn't recommend at all.

Lavender is tricky, because it depends on what you are using and how you are using it. A product with lavender oils, essential oils or tea tree oils is broken down through the skin in the same way as a topical estrogen would be- therefor not safe for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, women with estrogen fed breast cancer, infants and young boys.
Reply:you can't use either if you are pregnant...unless your GP says you can. they are absorbed into the bloodstream and can be very harmful to the baby.
Reply:I was advised by a qualified aromatherapist that lavender is fine but citronella is not during pregnancy.
Reply:It says on my bottle of lavender oil that if you are pregnant you should not use it. I don't understand why because it's meant to relax you and it has some natural antibacterial qualities too.
Reply:DONT USE THEM THEY MIGH TBE HARMFUL TO THE BABY I WOULDN'T RISK IT WHY DON'T YOU ASK A DOCTOR
